esse quam videri

Deconstruct. Simplify.

Right, Wrong, Morality,What?

People who bypass important aspects of life, who disregard a general sense of right, wrong, and morality for the sake of ‘being young’ and ‘not missing life,’ and for ‘momentary instant gratification,’ make me want to go to my room and sit in the corner.

I can’t grasp how selfish this concept is, and it only really bothers me when people use it as an excuse to screw other people over. Cheating? “Fuck it, I’m young.” Drinking and Driving? “Fuck it, I’m young.” Damaging my health? “Fuck it, I’m young.” Damaging relationships? “Fuck it, I’m young’

Where is the line drawn?

And the people who are sane and don’t buy into this attitude are the ones who get tarnished as ‘boring,’ ‘weird,’odd,’ and not ‘normal’

It is true that a man who knows the difference between right and wrong, has a sense of morality and above all the inner restraint to stick to these, will make fewer mistakes, live a happier, healthier life, with the ability to make something useful of his life more than just pleasing themselves.

Am I missing something?
